Former State general secretary of Communist Party of India and Ex-MP of Hazaribagh BP Mehta informed the media that the left parties of the State have decided to support
the agitation started by JVM leader MlA Pradeep Yadav and they will also participate in the joint dharna organised by the Opposition parties
in front of Jharkhand Assembly on April 27.
Talking with news men in local party office Mehta said that Pradeep is fighting for the poor peasants of the State and his party condemns the decision of his arrest taken by the State Government. A man is fighting to save the lands of the poor people of the State and the State Government is adamant to crush the poor and grab his land.
Calling the present Raghubar Das Government a ‘puppet of corporate houses,’ the ex-MP said that entire Jharkhand is suffering due to the wrong decisions and decisions taken in favour of big houses by it. “The eyes of corporate houses are on the precious mineral resources of this State and instead of saving its resources, the Government is inviting them here and helping them to grab lands of the poor
who do not want to give their lands,” he said.
Talking about the increasing incident of police firing and lathi charge on innocent denizens of the State, Mehta said that the Government has cleared itself as anti-poor and pro millionaires.
Citing the examples of Barkagaon firing incident, Gola firing incident and recent Godda incident he said that the Opposition is with the poor and if the Government will not rethink its decisions then they all will jointly launch an agitation against the Government in the entire State. Demanding immediate release of MlA Pradeep Yadav the ex-MP
said that the left parties want cancellation of Adani’s power project at Godda.
