A Super Specialty Update workshop on Spinal Surgery, Total Knee and heap replacement programme was inaugurated today by CMD,CCl, Ranchi at Gandhinagar Hospital, Ranchi in which eminent doctors from across the country participated.
As per programme, under the guidance of Brigadier Dr. V.K. Sinha of Army hospital, New Delhi, Total Heap Replacement operation of Marchee Devi of Dhori area and Raghunath Mahto of Kuju area was undertaken. Dr.Rajeshwar Singh, Specialist, Oartho,Gandhinagar hospital, CCl & members of his team Dr.Tarbej, Dr.Nirmal, Dr. Uday Sinha and Dr. Abhisek assisted Dr. VK Sinha during the operation.
Dr. Bhavuk Garg of AIIMS, New Delhi delivered a lecture on Reverse Total heap & Shoulder joint Replacement after the operation.
While inaugurating the workshop Gopal Singh, CMD, CCl said that the workshop is a step towards giving better health amenities in Gadnhinagar hospital itself. “It is a tripartite initiative by the Govt, AIIMS and CCl”, Singh said. The CMD requested AIIMS authorities for functioning of the clinic. AIIMS authorities agreed to depute their specialist doctors for this clinic time to time. “CCl is preparing for construction of new building for this clinic in adjacent to Gandhinagar hospital,” Singh said.
On July 2, total knee replacement would be undertaken under the guidance of Dr.Yuvraj of Asian hospital, Pharidabad while Spinal surgery would be undertaken on 3rd July in which Dr. Madhav Andru of Hyderabad Global hospital will be present as a specialist.After operation, a lecture by above specialist doctors would be organised at IICM,Kanke Road,Ranchi for participating Oartho doctors of different hospitals of CIl subsidiary companies.
Besides above specialist doctors, Dr. VK Sharma,CMS Incharge,Dr. BMK Sinha, Dr. Nandita Agrawal,Dr. Nutan Singh, Dr PK Gupta, Dr VK Singh of Gandhinagar hospital were also present during the inauguration.
