The Chanderpura police recovered the body of a teenaged girl in a bathroom at Purwapalli village under the Chanderpura police station on Tuesday evening and brought it to the local DVC hospital, where doctor declared dead. The 16-year-old committed suicide by hanging herself from ceiling ring of the bathroom. No suicide note, however, was found from the spot, police sources said.
Though the local police are still clueless about the reasons behinds the suicide, it is said that she had been suffering from depression for the last few days. She recently had passed matriculation examination and was reportedly an affair with Chandan Joshi, who had died on Monday after consuming poison. People of the locality informed the police that 25 year old Chandan Joshi committed suicide after meeting his lover. It is learnt that Joshi was under desperation and also upset after his proposal of marriage was refused by the girl. The police said it is too early to comment on the motive behind the both suicides and promised to complete the investigation soon.
