The sudden demise of a founding member of Paa Lo Naa –an organisation that works for abandoned infants has left every individual in deep distress.
The death of Sumaiya Nausheen (25)--one of the youngest members of the organisation at a young age came as shocking news for her close allies who had got an opportunity to work with this enthusiast social worker in different ventures.
Nausheen’s adorned several hats, a law graduate, a voluntary social worker, a student having keen interest in financial issues. Nausheen used to singly handle all operations of the organisation for Delhi-NCR region.
Deeply distraught after Nausheen’s death, who was like a pillar and support system for Monica Arya – the Founder of Paa Lo Naa and the brain behind this social movement, expressing her grief said,
“Her sudden demise has deeply affected me and I cannot even think of not having her now in any of my project.”
“The news came as a shocker for me on October 24. The girl whom I considered equal to my daughter is now no more with me.
Her zeal and passion to work for the organisation has taken our initiative much ahead.
Her death has created a vacuum. There were opportunities when she had helped the organisation in difficult times,” recalled Arya.
Sharing the details of a few recent projects in which Nausheen participated to expand the base of the organisation, Former Journalist, Arya said,
“Nausheen was from Ghaziabad and recently attended a workshop in Ranchi organised to sensitise the Police officials on the vital issue ‘Abandoned Children and Infants Killings’ basically guiding the officials about various legal prospective involved in such cases.
She always used to give quality time to all projects of Paa Lo Naa, despite the tight schedule.”
Arya who was in New Delhi informed that Nausheen breathed her last on October 24. “Nausheen was diagnosed with dengue and was undergoing treatment at Ganga Ram Hospital, Delhi,” Arya said.
