Sudden subsidence of a road connectingDomeijor village under Chirkunda police station on Thursday morning has caused snapping of power to several villages of the area as electricity poles were damaged .
About 50 meters of the road has submerged allegedly due to ongoing illegal mining of coal ..The area is part of Chanch Victoria coal mines of BCCL and nearby also happen to be mines of ECL.
The cracks have also affected traffic movement on this road mostly used by villagers. Locals have demanded immediate repair of the road by filling the subsided part of the road .
BCCL meanwhile has initiated steps filling the subsided area by overburdens.
