A sub zonal commander of the CPI Maoists identified as Jagnarain Yadav alias Vishal ji has been arrested on Wednesday barely one or two kilometers away from village Thekhee under Pandu police station in a joint operation launched by the Palamu police and the CRPF’s 134 battalion led by the additional superintendent of police Palamu Kanhaiyya Singh, said SP Palamu Patel Mayur K lal here on Thursday January 14. Vishal ji was remanded in judicial custody on Thursday.
“This sub-zonal commander is a State Home department’s notified absconding Maoist carrying a reward of `5,00,000,” added SP Palamu. Vishal ji has had cases too in Bihar Patel Mayur said.
The joint team of Palamu police and CRPF recovered an iron made loaded pistol and three cartridges. No resistance came from Vishal ji except that he started fleeing on seeing the team of security
forces and the waiting team of police and CRPF made no mistake in nabbing him. The arrest came on a precise information in this regard.
Patel Mayur said ‘ This Vishal ji (32) joined the Maoists’ Bal Dasta when he was 14 years of age. He joined the outfit to get his long pending land dispute settled as the Maoists had promised to settle his zameenee jhagra. However the Maoists pushed him into the pit of warfare with the security forces from where Vishal ji could never look back’.
About Vishal ji SP had this interesting point to share with media persons when he said ‘ The man Vishal true to his big height had worked with Maoist like Sandeep ji who now carries a reward of one crore on his head’. Vishal also moved with another dreaded Maoist Nitesh ji added Patel Mayur.
When pointed out by the Pioneer that crime record of Vishal ji as prepared and presented to media persons by SP read Vishal ji’s crime history of the period ranging from 2009 to 2012 and is silent with no crime incident being tagged to Vishal ji over the last 3 years 2013- 15 SP said ‘ This is true the crime profile of Vishal ji ends in 2012 as per the press release that we have given to you people but let me tell you all our police stations in Palamu and police stations in Bihar are rummaging the naxal records to find cases against Vishal ji as this sub zonal commander used to strike security forces in Bihar as well’.
This sub zonal commander had had his influence/clout in the Madhya Zone informed Patel Mayur.
