Students of State’s eight universities are participating with zeal and enthusiasm at the first Jharkhand Inter University Youth Festival being held at Birsa Agricultural University (BAU). The BAU campus is humming with life.

Human Rights, Sports and Unity, Poverty and Unemployment, Entrepreneurship and Employment, Fundamental Rights and Unity and Digital Devices were the topics given to participants of six universities in  the event ‘Extempore’.

Judges appreciated that despite belonging to far flung areas of rural Jharkhand, participants’ language, flow, confidence and way of presentation was better than those of several professional colleges having all the facilities.

In the Clay Modeling competition organized on the topic ‘Animal Composition’, participants from six universities prepared attractive models of wild animals like elephant, crocodile, fishery and use of cattle in crop husbandry etc in the allotted 2 and half hours time. In   the Cartooning event, six participants tried their brushes in drawing portrait of famous persons. Equal number of   teams participated in Group   Dance competition held at   Ranchi Veterinary College Auditorium, where nature-dependent life of tribes became alive. Teams of three universities presented One Act Play. The famous play ‘Nagmandal’ written by eminent Kannad playwright Girish Karnad and directed by Deepak Jha dealt with the atrocities on women. ‘Dhruvswamini’ written by Jaishankar Prasad tried to prove the myth wrong that women are weak and soft and nature has made men to rule them.
