A student, Jeetendra Prasad, of Sirshi, Ichak, has lodged a written complaint against the director of Madam Mala Institute of Hotel Management, Canary Hill Road, Hazaribagh, that she had attempted to kill him using a knife as his guardian had questioned about the affiliation and placement record of the institute.
After getting this complaint Sadar police recovered the knife from the hands of Manoj Kumar, husband of the Director of the institute, and has seized papers from the office.Student Jeetendra Prasad said that he had taken admission in the institute 2 months ago. Since last one week he was ill and yesterday when he went to attend the class he was told to come with the guardian. His father came and in his talks with the director enquired about the affiliation, placement and other things. After his departure director and her husband started beating him and somehow I managed to escape.
On the other hand director says that the student was irregular in the classes so they decided to cancel his admission and when we informed about it his guardian and student both started abusing us. The allegation of attack is totally false.
Officer In-Charge Sadar PS Vishwanath Singh said that we are making a thorough enquiry of the whole matter. He said that we will also check the records of placements claimed by this institute as many complaints have also come from different corners that the institute is running only on papers and the placement claims are mostly false.
