CM Raghubar Das’ camp office in Jamshedpur has begun exercise for making Judi village a model village in terms of women’s empowerment and affluence. OSD of the office Sanjay Kumar gave several proposals for women empowerment to women at the Judi panchayat in Potka. The women gathered there accepted the proposal and a march was organised by Mukhiya Sabitri Sardar leading all women. The women rechristened a street in the Judi village in the name of MA student Sumitra Bhattacharya, who studies at Jamshedpur women’s college.  Within a week all streets of the village will be named after educated women and the responsibility of the work has been given to ‘Sky lab’.

The group has been made by 100 educated women, who would also spread awareness against social evils such as witchcraft, child marriage, domestic violence etc.
