Since the formation of the State, for the first time the post of Principal will be created in the plus two schools of the State. After nine years, the State Government has started the process of appointment of Principals in plus two schools of the State. The Rules for the appointment of Principal and Vice Principal in Plus Two Schools were made in the year 2012.
After nine years of making the rules, now the post of principal is being created in schools. The proposal was sent by the Education Department to the Finance Department. The Finance Department had sought information on some points of post creation. The proposal has been sent once again to the Finance Department along with the information by the Education Department.
Eight years of experience has been made mandatory to become a Principal in Jharkhand. In the case of direct appointment, it has become mandatory to have eight years of educational experience in the subject of appointment in a school recognized by the Central or State Government.
Presently there are 510 plus two schools in the State. Of these, 59 schools belong to the time of integrated Bihar. While 171 schools were upgraded in 2006-07. Once again some schools are being upgraded from high school to plus 2 schools and 1 Principal will also be appointed in these schools. According to the information, many posts of headmasters are vacant in high school and middle schools.
Till date, headmasters have not been appointed in the upgraded high school. In such a situation, once again the post is being created and steps are being taken in this direction. Soon the examination will also be conducted for the appointment to the post of Principal in Plus Two School. In which it will be mandatory to get 50 marks.
Meanwhile, the Stenographer will soon be reinstated in Jharkhand Secretariat. On the requisition of the Personnel Department, Jharkhand State Staff Selection Commission (JSSC) has issued an advertisement for appointment to this service. The post of Steno will also be reinstated.
It may be mentioned here that only two stenos are working in the secretariat and both are working in the Personnel Department. In such a situation, the post of Steno is vacant in all the remaining departments. The Personnel Department has sent a requisition for appointment in all the departments.
According to the advertisement released, online application will be taken till July 27 according to the educational qualification and age limit and examination fee will also be charged. The process of examination will be done till the month of August. After this, the appointment will be recommended to the Government by taking the examination.
