State Congress secretary and senior leader SRA Rizwi Chabban said that the Congress members must shed factional behaviour if they want to ensure progress of the State and the party in Jharkhand. He said that fighting as one disciplined team was critical to ensure electoral win in the State.

He expressed concern over ruckus created by two ‘rival’ factions of district woman congress recently during a meeting in presence of All India Women’s Congress national secretary and in-charge of Jharkhand Woman Congress Pushpa Chauhan  following which a police complaint was also lodged by State Women Congress President Abha Sinha.

Terming the incident ‘unfortunate’ the secretary said that appropriate disciplinary action should be taken against the ‘culprits’. He also said that the party leaders need to maintain in discipline and serve an example for others. No one is above the party discipline.

“Such incidents teach us that we must all shed all manner of factional behaviour, and fight as one disciplined team at all levels. We need to show to the public that we are committed and united,” said Chabban.

He noted that it is a final call and infighting has to end to achieve the goal. “It is important to work with utmost commitment to live up to the expectation of the people of Jharkhand. It is time party people must wake up,” he noted lamenting over current state of affairs.
