A stir against the advertisement for the post of the fourth grade personnel. Palamu administration has very recently put in an advertisement for the 585 posts of the fourth grade personnel in this district. More than 300 posts are reserved out of 585.
It is under the order of the Supreme Court which had directed the authorities here to advertise the posts within 6 months of the quashing of the appointments in fourth grade coming into effect on and from February 10, 2025 by the judgement of the Supreme Court in the Civil Appeals.
The BJP has openly criticized the move. It has tried to convey an impression that the party stands with the retrenched fourth grade personnel.
Buoyed with the support of the BJP, nearly hundred people in two batches on Monday staged protest against the advertisement demanding the test, lowering down of the minimum educational qualification from 10th pass to 8th pass and absorption of the retrenched fourth grade.
No protester had any idea about what the Supreme Court judgement is. The judgement is neither retrogressive nor obstructive. It asks recruitment to be in accordance with the Articles 14 and 16 of the Constitution and in accordance with the extant Rules and observations'.
Palamu administration has taken measures to keep off the middlemen. There is no affidavit of Notary. A candidate has to swear it in his own text and with his signature. There is a suitable age relaxation to people whose employment was quashed by the Supreme Court. Palamu administration has given a blanket 15 years age relaxation to quashed service holders which is by no means any less relief.
Sources said the DC Sameera S has directed the officials to maintain fairness and transparency at every stage of the recruitment.
