Be decked with colourful artwork, the handcrafted steel web designs is not just limited to interior and exterior décor but even the carvings which is generally made up of clay are being made with diminutive steel wires here.
From deity’s jewelry to attire to even small knick-knacks, artists here are preparing everything with tiny steel struts. Artisans involved in the designing, added, “It is difficult to craft out the designs with steel wires and you need to be extra careful while moulding it. It is a tedious task and takes more time in comparison to other format of designing. The team has been involved in this creative project since June.”
One of the favourite destinations among the pandal hoppers and art enthusiasts, the presentation style here will surprise the disciples. Every year resourceful hands from neighboring states are involved in innovative venture to give a fresh new look to the concept having some narrative loom to interior embellishments.
Crafted out at an investment of Rs. 18.5 lakh, a fictitious temple has been designed by the artists of Medinipur, West Bengal. “Keeping the design simple yet chic, the organizers have figured out an imaginative temple for exterior beautification. Only interior decoration is being enhanced by the artists. The designing and concept will fascinate the visitors and is simply different from all the puja pandals in State capital,” said, Rajasthan Mitra Mandal Durga Puja Samiti, president, Ashok Purohit.
Visual treat here too will be poles apart from other popular pandal set-up. “Illuminations set up here will work on sound technology depicting some specific themes and will be changed at a regular interval. The lighting too will enhance the interior arrangement as ample bulbs have been decked inside the puja pandal to bring the really quintessence of statuettes. At present, 25 labourers are giving finishing touch to the theme,” added Purohit.
Keeping an eye on every activity of pandal hoppers, the committee members have chalked out different measures to keep the anti social elements away from the fortunate occasion. “Besides the theme based pandal, here the entertainment zone is the major crowd puller. looking at the vulnerability of the location and teeming crowd, apart the puja committee volunteers few other security personnel will guard the pandal premises. Eight CCTV cameras will be installed inside the pandal and enquiry counters will be set up to aid devotees,” Purohit said.
