The steel city on Sunday received its first live ice cream parlour, ‘Icy Bakers’.

BJP leader Amarpeet Singh Kale inaugurated the parlour. Based at Bistupur Inner Circle Road at Aviskar Tower Icy Breakers has cracked the code of making creamy ice-cream using liquid Nitrogen technology. The parlour has been designed in a way to give a unique ambience. It has a sitting capacity of more than 25 people.

The ice cream, made of a basic custard mixture, is first beaten in a steel vessel. To this the liquid Nitrogen is added, so that you finally get pure, unadulterated ice cream, sans air crystals.

The menu consists of different fruit purees and imported flavours such as vanilla, couverture chocolate, citrus fruit. There around 100 flavours including Raspberry lychee, Strawberry Basil and Passion Fruit. You can customise your flavours.

Icy Bakers is an ideal place to have a quick shakes rounded off with an ice cream. There is a balance of the traditional and the contemporary.

You will find exotic flavours such as blueberry with white chocolate chunks co-existing with the good old cooler, made of betel leaves, gulkand, paneer soda and sugar syrup. The ambience is quaint. There are plush sitting sets, where students sit back, talk for hours and click a million selfies.

The menu pizzas, sandwiches, paniyarams , crepes, pancakes, chicken shots, and mouth-melting desserts such as cheese cake, red velvet cake, and walnut brownies will also be added in future.
