Body of the 40-year-old martyred jawan, Pradeep Kumar, of Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) will be brought to Ranchi in next two to three days. Kumar a resident of Kutey in Ranchi was killed in a Naxal attack in Sukma in Chhattisgarh on Tuesday. Following one of the fiercest attack on police forces and the upcoming General Elections an alert has been issued especially in the border districts of Jharkhand.
The attack that stunned police forces prompted an alert in districts bordering Chhatisgarh in addition to districts bordering with other states. Police officials are tightlipped about the kind of instructions that has been issued to the SPs of all districts.
“We have issued alert. There are inputs from MHA and other sources,” maintained ADG Special Branch Rezi Dung Dung. With elections round the corner and the usual practice of Naxals to boycott elections has made the police establishment to redraw their strategy for elections.
