The CAG has also made adverse comments on the financial health of the Government. The report has indicated towards revenue receipts collected during 2015-16 which remained only 43 per cent of the estimate.
Total receipt of the State Government during 2014-15 was Rs 31564.56 crore that went up to Rs 40638.35 crore a year later. The auditor though, has commented to the healthy rise of 28.75 per cent but added that it was mainly because State’s share in central taxes went up by 68.32 per cent.
