A good number of people visited Jharkhand Pavilion at the India International Trade Fair (IITF)-2015 at Pragati Maidan in New Delhi. Given the fact that there is a craze among people this year for the hand-made products, the Jharkhand Pavillion has been prepared on the theme of Make in India presenting a wide range of hand-made products.
Jharkhand Mandap is offering hand-made artificial jewellery, paitings, ornamental objects and other stalls are set up at the venue. The products are much cheaper than machine-made goods so they are being sold like hot cakes.
A stall presenter Shish Mohsin said that the response of people visiting the fair is very good. “Most of the visitors are liking the products and admiring those. This is very important for building my self-confidence. I have hand-made Chudies, purse, Kangan, bamboo artifacts and other items that are selling the most. The prices of the products are between Rs 300 and Rs 800 so people can easily buy these,” Mohsin said.
Sunil Kumar at another stall said that there are varieties of artificial flowers and sticks available at his stall. Those interested in decoration of their houses are buying the products ranging between Rs 300 and 500, he said.
On the first day of the opening of IITF-2015 there was huge enthusiasm at the Jharkhand Pavilion. Resident Commissioner of Jharkhand Dr DK Tiwari also visited the Jharkhand Mandap on Thursday and took stock of the stalls there.
