As many as 14 school students from Jharkhand participated in the ‘Pariksha Par Charcha – 2.0’ held at New Delhi on Tuesday. Considering the dictum --‘Be your own adjudicator, celebrate your strengths’, Prime Minister Narendra Modi in the second edition of ‘Pariksha Pe Charcha’ yet again encouraged the students to achieve dreams and counter examination fears with buoyancy.

Emphasising on clarity of thoughts and conviction, peer-pressure, comparison between students, parental-guidance, over- consciousness, nostalgia and most significantly ‘depression’, the PM motivated the students including the parents present there to accept the challenges and cross the hurdles with valor. Live telecast of PM’s programme was organised at government and private schools including other educational institutions across Jharkhand.

Regional Deputy Director of Education, South Chotanagpur Division– Ashok Kumar Sharma said, “Like last year, this year too, the programme was an encouraging experience for the students. In Ranchi district alone, the programme was organised at more than 100 government schools. Students from Latehar, Ranchi, Giridih, Jamshedpur, Dhanbad, Bokaro including a few other districts participated at the national level event along with two teachers and two guardians.”

With less than two months left for the Class 10 and Class 12 board exams to begin, PM Modi, who discussed ways to handle the exam stress in an interactive session, received the appreciation of students including the guardians.

“It was an insightful experience for me .Tips shared by the PM are valuable. PM’s viewpoint on clarity of thoughts and expressions is encouraging and has motivated me to choose only that stream which is best for me. The two-hour programme covered almost all facets ranging from, developing concentration power to selecting career to how to face defeat and move ahead,” said a student, Garima Lal.

Similarly, for parents/guardians too it was an intuitive interaction. “The experience yet again was an enriching one. The two hours chat show was not only confined to examinations, percentage but it also dealt with several aspects that shape the overall personality of a student. The event helps to fosters one’s outlook and create effective talent pool expanding the base in each sector,” said, Ritwika Sharma, a school teacher and a mother.

For the first time, the participants also include college students from different states and Union Territories. According to a statement of the Ministry of Human Resource Development, more than 600 students from across the country have participated in the programme.
