Covid-19 tally in Jharkhand mounted to 94369 as 633 more people tested positive for the infection, a health department bulletin stated. On Wednesday while on one hand 633 fresh cases were reported, 1053 persons recovered from infection. With 633 fresh cases the total positive cases rose to 94369, while out of these 86347 people recovered from infection.
The total active cases have come down to 7191. On Wednesday six deaths were reported from various parts of the State. With six fresh casualties, the total deaths rose to 811. Out of six deaths that were reported on Wednesday, two deaths were reported from Ranchi and Dhanbad respectively, while one person each died to East and West Singhbhum districts respectively.
As more and more persons are recovering from infection the recovery rate in the State has jumped to 91 52 per cent which is better than the national average of 87.10 per cent.
Also as the death figures have come down in the State in the past few weeks, the mortality rate has come down in past weeks. The state mortality rate is 0.85 per cent, while the national mortality rate is 1.50 per cent.
Out of total corona cases, Ranchi district tops with highest infection. There are 20315 active cases alone in Ranchi district while active cases in districts is 2628.
In Ranchi district today 263 cases were reported, while two persons died due to infection. The number of deaths in Ranchi is 151.
Casualty wise the maximum deaths has been reported from East Singhbhum, where total number of deaths is 318, however, only one person died due to infection on Wednesday.
Age wise the number of persons who are most affected with infection is in the age bracket of 51-70 years as 404 persons died due to infection. Followed by this, persons in the age group of 31-50 years form the second category, who are mostly affected. The number of casualties in this category is 164 persons have died due to unusual infection.
