Meanwhile, as dates for Assembly elections in Jharkhand are speculated to be announced by August end, the political parties as well as Election Commission have started their preparations in this regard. A review meeting was held in New Delhi between the Chief Election Commissioner of India and the State's Chief Electoral Officer on Monday where security related issues were discussed in detail. According to CEO PK Jajoria, the security requirements for the State have been put before ECI.
"We have told them about our requirements, magnitude as well as the number of the security forces which we need during the elections in order to conduct free and fair elections in the state," said Jajoria. Otherwise other instructions will be more or less same as were given during the lok Sabha elections conducted recently in the State, he added.
