State regime should focus on fulfilling promises: Kumar

All India Congress Committee spokesperson Ajay Kumar accused the State and Central Governments of failing to fulfil promises and eye-washing the public. The former MP stated that law and order scenario has worsened and discrepancies in administration have become rampant after BJP came to power in the state.
“Jan Samvad, Greater Ranchi, Smart City are being promoted prominently, but the basic amenities like health, roads and electricity remain neglected. Voters have elected their representatives to solve these problems, not to listen to their pravachan,” Kumar stated. He pointed out that BJP Government came to power on promises like regularising unauthorised colonies across the state, but this initiative has now been focused on Jamshedpur alone, that to without much effect.
“There used to be two Secretariats in the state, on in Ranchi and another in Dumka, but now an unauthorised secretariat is operating in Jamshedpur too, taking decisions without getting them approved by the cabinet for benefitting a chosen few. This needs to be checked promptly,” said Kumar. The law and order scenario in the state was specifically targeted by the Congress spokesperson. “Government is bending the law to protect its MlAs but is tight-lipped on the three thousand youths who are being labelled as extremists without any reason,” stated Kumar.
