State police has also extended a helping hand to the needy serving them food at the time of lockdown. So far the police have distributed food amongst 8,99,465 persons ever since the community kitchen was started across nearly 400 police stations in the 24 districts of the state on March 28. Dhanbad police tops the list in terms of distribution of foods by reaching out to 1.8 lakh (1,80,999) persons with two times (afternoon and evening) meals.
This is followed by East Singhbhum (Jamshedpur) police, which is distributing foods has distributed food amongst 1.3 lakh (1,30,030) persons while capital Ranchi is in the third position distributing foods amongst 1.2 lakh needy persons (1,20,224).
