State-of-the-art building of Jharkhand Judicial Academy will be unveiled on Saturday followed by a conference on the topic — Environmental Issues and Climatic Change: Jharkhand Chapter.
The conference has been organised by the Jharkhand High Court in association with Judicial Academy Jharkhand and co-sponsored by National Green Tribunal and Department of Forests, Environment and Climate Change, Government of Jharkhand. Talking to mediapersons on Friday, Justice RR Prasad of Jharkhand High Court said that the issue was deliberately chosen as it needs to be addressed and solution must be sought in this regard.
“Since Jharkhand is full of natural resources in the form of minerals and ores, mostly underneath the forests, hence, the exploitation of forests for minerals will go on followed by falling of trees.
