lok Sabha Speaker Sumitra Mahajan would address a workshop on the subject ‘Principles and Practices in Parliamentary Democracy and Management of Public Finance’ on Saturday.The workshop is being organised for the members of the Jharkhand legislative Assembly.The session, to be attended by Governor Draupadi Murmu, Chief Minister Raghubar Das and Speaker of the Jharkhand Vidhan Sabha Dinesh Oraon apart from host of legislators, would be focused on the measures to be adopted for best possible use of public finance in the given set of system in the country.
“As legislators are the policy makers who also deliberate upon how the resources are to be used and how the people can be benefited the most out of it, the workshop would give them ideas for better planning. This is first workshop of this kind taking place in Jharkhand,” said an official of Jharkhand Assembly. To take part in the programme, the lok Sabha Speaker arrived here on Friday evening and received by Assembly Speaker Dinesh Oraon, Parliamentary Affairs Minister Saryu Roy and others. She was also given guard of honour at the airport.
