State Govt failed on all fronts: Raghubar

Published on:

The State BJP unit on Friday launched a scathing attack on the State Government over its alleged failure to meet people’s expectations. Former Chief Minister and BJP national vice-president, Raghubar Das leading a volley of attacks targeted State Government as being incompetent and weak. He said that the Government is weak as there is internal bickering within the Government.

Das holding a Press conference at BJP party office attacked State Government on all fronts from rise in Left Wing Extremism (LWE) menace, poor law and order situation in state especially atrocities against women, rise in unemployment to lack of development initiatives among others.

Das said, “The present Government is shedding crocodile’s tears that it has no fund for initiating new development projects, putting a brake on projects initiated by the previous Government but the same government had spent crores on hoardings, banners and posters and advertisements on the first anniversary of the State Government. We too have organised Government anniversary functions, but the functions were simple without any pomp or show.”

He said, “The present Government which has completed 13 months has shown only its weakness. It has neither any vision nor mission. The Government is so weak that it has failed to take any strong decisions.”

He said that the BJP Government had successfully checked LWE activities in the State, but the Naxal menace is once again gaining momentum in the State. He also cited the examples of banned TSPC putting up posters and a red banner at Ratu road junction in Ranchi that is densely populated and also a VIP zone.  The posters were put up in December first week.

Das said, “The re-emergence of LWE menace can be gauged from the fact that TSPC has put up posters in the area which is densely populated and a VIP zone. The cavalcade of the Chief Minister, Governor and VIP’s take this route to the airport or the Vidhan Sabha.”

The former Chief Minister claimed that illegal stone quarry and sand mining is going on unabated in Santhal and Palamu region. These illegal stone quarries and sand mining have Government protection. The BJP vice-president claimed that these illegal quarries and sand mining are going on as police have little control as both DGP and home secretary are holding in-charge posts.

Das also attacked the State Government on its failure to meet people expectations as unemployment has gone up. He said, “The JMM/Congress came to power riding on poll promises of filling all government vacant posts within three months, but the present government which has failed to fill vacant posts is also not renewing the services of contractual workers appointed under the 14th finance commission.”

Das also targeted the State Government on Government withdrawal of Pathalgadi cases, Chaibasa incident and communal incident in Lohardaga.
