Of a mind to spread the indigenous therapeutic practice that is yoga far and wide in Jharkhand, State Health Department is planning Block-level events on the occasion of second International Yoga Day this Tuesday.
“Deputy Commissioners in all 24 districts of the State have been ordered to organise programmes at Block-level on the occasion of International Yoga Day. Funds for this purpose have already been allocated to districts,” stated State AYUSH Director Dr Abdul Numan Ahmed.
Central Government has drafted a Common Yoga Protocol to be followed during Mass Yoga Demonstrations on June 21. This set of protocols has been sent to states, which have forwarded it to respective organising bodies.
“Copies of Protocol has been sent to the DCs. They are supposed to make their arrangements in accordance to the guidelines in it and organise yoga demonstration at Block level between 7:00 am and 8:00 am,” said Ahmed.
Meanwhile, the preparations for the State-level programme on International Yoga Day to be held at Morhabadi Ground received final touches on Monday evening. State Health Department is supervising the arrangements for the programme from its camp office here.
