Senior Congress leader and in-charge of Jharkhand Pradesh Congress Committee (JPCC) Avinash Pandey said here today that in the coming days, people of the country will see changes in Maharashtra and Karnataka along with Bihar and will see changes in other states. He said that the kind of untold emergency situation prevailing in the entire country, every social and political worker realizes it while discharging his responsibilities.
He was responding to Bihar development where Nitish Kumar ditched BJP to join Mahagathbandhan alliance. Pandey said that to strengthen the democracy once again in the country, all the political parties will be united and the picture of the country will be changed in the coming days.
Pandey had reached Ranchi to begin a 75 km padyatra on the occasion of the 75th anniversary of independence.
On the other hand, on the allegation of money laundering on the three MLAs of Jharkhand Congress, Irfan Ansari, Rajesh Kachhap and Naman Vixlal Kongari, he said that all three are good companions but now they have to come under the legal process. If they are not found in such an act, then it will be seen in other states living among us today.
Earlier, on Tuesday Janata Dal (United) chief Nitish Kumar and Rashtriya Janata Dal leader Tejashwi Yadav staked claim to form a new government in Bihar. The two leaders claimed to have the support of seven parties with 164 MLAs, including Independents.
The development came hours after Kumar submitted his resignation as the Bihar chief minister to Governor Phagu Chauhan. He said there was consensus among the MLAs and MPs of his party that the Janata Dal (United) should quit the National Democratic Alliance.
Political developments gathered pace in Bihar as the JD(U) on Sunday said it will not be a part of the expansion of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s Union Cabinet. Kumar had also skipped the NITI Aayog meet chaired by the prime minister on the same day.
The Jharkhand BJP leaders refused to comment on the issue. However, a BJP leader requesting anonymity accused Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar of "insulting and betraying" people's mandate while blaming his prime ministerial ambition for the JD (U)'s decision to walk out of the NDA and joining hands with the RJD-led opposition.
A JMM leader requesting anonymity said, “Across the Hindi heartland, BJP does not have any alliance partner, history tells that BJP destroys the parties with whom it forms an alliance. We did see that happening in Punjab & Maharashtra.” The JMM leader further said, BJP has a track record of ending small parties, but the Bihar development is a big lesson for BJP.
