The Union Rural Development Department today felicitated representatives from Jharkhand for securing first place in Direct Benefits Transfer (DBT) in MGNREGA. Jharkhand was also felicitated for getting first place in Social Security Pension and adopting Best Practices in the field.
Also, the State was felicitated for Maximum Habitations Connected during the FY 2017-18 under the PMGSY. The felicitation ceremony was organised at Vigyan Bhawan, New Delhi on Tuesday where certificates and mementoes were given away to best performing states in various fields.
Union Rural Development Minister Narendra Singh Tomar among other eminent guests was present during the ceremony. Principal Secretary Rural Development Department, Avinash Kumar; MGNREGA Commissioner, Siddharth Tripathy; Director Social Security and Family Welfare department, manoj Kumar; former DDC, Chatra, Zeeshan Kamar; DDC, Chatra Manohar Prasad among others were present in the ceremony and were felicitated by the Union Minister.
