In a move to control increasing cases of crime in the State, Anti-Terrorist Squad (ATS) is conducting raid the whereabouts of criminal Aman Sao lodged in Palamu Jail.
As per a press note released by the State Police Headquarter on Saturday, the ATS team has been conducting raids at different hideouts in Palamu, Garhwa, Chatra Hazaribagh Ranchi, Ramgarh, Latehar and many other districts since 4:00 am on Saturday.
However, what has been recovered during this raid. No information has been received about this; it is being told that this raid will go on till late evening.
Many criminal gangs are active in Jharkhand. But these days the violence of the Sao gang has increased in comparison to other gangs. In view of this, Jharkhand ATS has started cracking down on the Sao gang. Sao's gang is creating a ruckus in the State's Latehar, Chatra, Ramgarh, Hazaribagh and Koyelaanchal areas of Ranchi. Despite the imprisonment of Aman Sahu, the activity of his gang has not diminished. Sao is running his gang from Palamu Jail.
According to the information provided through the press note the State Police Headquarter, Sao is using Sujit Sinha's henchmen to carry out criminal activities. Earlier Sao was associated with the Sujit Sinha gang only. But later he formed his own gang. Aman Sahu is raising the levy of lakhs of rupees every month even after being in jail. Most of the criminals involved in Sujit Sinha's gang are residents of Palamu.
On 20 July 2020, Ranchi Police arrested two criminals including Sao and sent to Ranchi Hotwar jail. This action was taken by the police team under the then SSP of Ranchi, Surendra Kumar Jha.
