Giving a damn to after-effects of demonetisation, city hotels and clubs are bracing up for a glittering New Year night past Saturday evening with unmatched menu of foods and beverages for guests. Most of the star-rated hotels including Radisson Blu behind Big Bazaar and the Capitol Hill, both at Main Road, and Hotel BNR Chanakya near Ranchi Railway Station are being decorated like never before to host DJ Nights, performances from different dance groups from the home to abroad, and even quiz competitions for couples this year.
“We have separate arrangements for couples and singles for the evening. For couples coming to welcome New Year and to enjoy will be charged Rs 6,000 inclusive all taxes against unlimited food and drinks of their choice. For singles, the charge has been kept Rs 3,500 at a different location within the hotel with special food, drinks and DJs,” said Radisson Blu PRO Richa Tirkey on Thursday. However, she didn’t disclose names of show-stoppers of the evening, saying that it was a top-secret.
She said that the hotel was targeting its trustworthy guests who also enjoyed New Year party last year at the hotel. “We have also released a number of advertisements in newspapers and banner-posters at many places,” she added. A Russian group of belly dancers is also scheduled to perform in Radisson Blu on New Year eve, which will start at 9 PM.
Notably, all renowned hotels of the city have claimed to have at least one star as a surprise for the evening. But everyone has kept it secret so far, luring more and more guests. Most of the hotels said that so called side effects of demonetisation were nowhere seen, as far as booking for the evening or the mode of payments were concerned. Contrary to this, a couple of hotels have started special discounts to guests booking through cashless modes for the evening.
Competitor Capitol Hill has also left no stone unturned to make the evening memorable, with targeting its last year guests. “Though we have advertised at a number of platforms, majority of our guests will comprise of trusted ones. Dance, DJ night and a couple of memorable events will make the evening along with many things little different from last year,” said Capitol Hill Manager (F&B) Satish Mishra. He added that stars invited for the evening would be surprise pack for guests.
“We have hired one dance group from Bangluru and DJ from Delhi for new year eve. The party usually starts at 9 PM here and continues till first hour of the New Year. We have also arranged fireworks for the evening,” said Ranchi Club President Sandeep Modi on Thursday. Notably, all the events of evening at one of the oldest clubs of the city will remain opened and accessible exclusively for its 1,400 odd members, as usual.
Not being behind anywhere from Ranchi Club in most of the aspects and even ahead at some counts, Gymkhana Club, another one of the oldest clubs of city will also host DJ Night by notable DJ of Kolkata named Mafia Party, accompanied with dance troops from Mumbai. The club will also host dancers from Russia who would welcome the New Year in their own style.
