Domestic private airline Air Odisha Aviation Pvt ltd founder Santosh Pani on Thursday appeared before the Khandagiri police and recorded his statement in connection with the cheating case filed by Sandeep Ray, son of sitting BJP MlA Dilip Ray.

Pani appeared before the cops with requisite documents relating to the shares and money transactions as part of proof.

last week, Sandeep Ray had filed an FIR against the Air Odisha CMD alleging that the company has embezzled his money he had given as share.

According to the complainant, he had invested `80 lakh in the Air Odisha Aviation for which he was promised a 40-per cent stake in the carrier.

“As per the agreement, I was supposed to get the stakes which didn’t materialise as he delayed the formalities in the garb of DGCA approval, etc. After rounds of negotiations, the carrier transferred `40 lakh to my account and issued four cheques of rest `40 lakh. But the same are invalid as the signatory was not authorised to sign,” Ray stated in the FIR.
