The coming week (March 13 to March 19) is going to be an unforgettable week for the denizens of Hazaribagh and Jharkhand too. After a gap of several years the district administration is once again going to organise Hazaribagh Mahotsav in the name “Konar Mahotsav’’ with a view to explore the local potential and to give the city a new identity and recognition.
On Thursday, DC Mukesh Kumar gave a detailed account of the programmes and events going to be organised in this week-long Konar Mahotsav. The main attraction of Konar Mahotsav will be four evenings full of entertainment and three brain storming sessions in which experts of their fields will share their views on different topics.
On 16th evening there will be a Mushayra cum Kavi Sammelan in Vinodani park of VBU in which Wasim Barelwi, Rahat Indori, Nushrat and Ashok Chakradhar are going to take part. Sarvesh Asthana will anchor this program. From 17th to 19th evening the venue of programs will be Kurjons ground Hazaribagh. On 17th MP cum famous singer and artist Manoj Tiwari will entertain the denizens along with lagori Rock Band and Pika and Chau dance presented by the famous artists of Jharkhand like Tapan Patnayak.
On 18th evening famous singer Shilpa Rao, who is from Jamshedpur Jharkhand will entertain the audience along with famous Gazal singer Ranjit Rajwara. On this day fashion show based on Khadi and paint my city theme will also be organised.
In concluding ceremony on 19th bollywood singer Kumar Shannu, Prince Dance Group and MJ5 of India’s Dancing Superstar will perform followed by a sparkling fire cracker show by professionals.
DC Kumar said that on 17th the village local body members, Government officials, representatives of NGOs, experts and distinguished denizens will discuss on the topic ‘Sonch Sauch ki’ in town hall from 10:30 am.
On 18th MP cum MoS Jayant Sinha, Padmashree Ashok Bhagat, ETV channel head Jagdish Chandra, Harishwar Dayal, Prof. Ramesh Sharan, CMD CCl Gopal Singh and others will talk about make in Hazaribagh at VBU. On this day the district administration will launch single window system for entrepreneurs coming to Hazaribagh. Intellectuals like Baijnath Mishra, Harinarayan Singh, Anuj Kumar Sinha, Kamlesh Raghuvanshi and Amar Kant will talk on the topic ‘Samaj, Sarkar and Sambhavna’ on 19th in VBU auditorium.
DC Kumar said that since CM Raghubar Das is busy in Assembly session so his time of arrival has not yet been fixed but he will inaugurate the Mahotsava.
In this mahotsava 200 selected students of different Government schools of the district will take part in adventure and fun filled water sports, rock climbing, para gliding like activities. He said that in every day program half hour slot has been kept free for performances of selected local artists. Besides this we have arranged laser shows and other fillers also.
Entry in these programs will strictly be on the basis of passes issued by district administration. For distribution of passes we are going to make three stalls at Jhanda Chowk, Matwari Ground and lake Area. He also appealed to the denizens to donate in Konar Mahotsava Fund with an assurance that the amount left after this program will be transferred to Red Cross Society.
