Stable Govt can develop State: Nadda

The BJP on Friday strengthened its election campaign for year-end Assembly elections, with two Union Ministers in Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s Cabinet and BJP working president carrying out whirlwind campaign in support of party candidates.

While, BJP executive president Jagat Prakash Nadda and Union Tribal Affairs Minister Arjun Munda were in Chandwa of Latehar Assembly segment, Minister for Transport and Highways Nitin Gadkari was in Bishrampur of Palamu district seeking votes in support of BJP candidates.

Addressing the rally Nadda said, “Only BJP is a political party which doesn’t believe in dynastic politics. All other parties such as Congress and Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) politics revolve around a family.” Urging the people to once again repose faith on BJP candidates like general elections, Nadda said, “Your votes helped in electing Sunil Singh as MP from Chatra one out of 303 MPs of BJP giving a strong and stable Government at Centre. The result of strong and stable Government is that Prime Minister Narendra Modi took some milestone decision such as abrogating Article 370 and 35(A) of Constitution.”

The BJP claimed that the advantage of strong and stable Government is that in last Lok Sabha session 128 per cent works was done during which important bills were passed without any disruption. Nadda highlighting the work carried out by Chief Minister Raghubar Das said the advantage of stable and strong Government at State can be gauged from the fact that Raghubar Das Government has successfully wiped out Left Wing Extremism (LWE) menace from State. Union Tribal Affairs minister Arjun Munda, who too was present on the occasion heaped praise on Modi Government for withdrawing a controversial proposal to amend the Indian Forest Act (1927), which came under severe criticism for being ‘draconian’ to people especially tribals living in the forests.

Munda said, “The BJP is well wisher of tribals and forest dwellers as Modi Government has withdrawn the Indian Forest Act (1927) which was prepared by some officials.”

The draft amendment of IFA had given more power to forest officers, giving them power to use firearms to deal with offences like encroachment of forest area, permitting cattle to trespass, setting fire, removal of forest produce and disturbing or harming animals. Munda also called for forming a stable Government as only stable Government can give a strong Government which can focus on development.
