Naveen Jaiswal, who managed to retain Hatia Assembly seat defeating BJP candidate Seema Sharma by a margin of over 8,000 votes, believe that a stable leader is as important as a stable government for development in the State.
According to Jaiswal, his endeavor in the next five years will be to make his constituency clean, making available all the civil amenities to each and every household essential for leading a dignified life for the people of Hatia.
Jaiswal, after having denied the ticket from AJSU from Hatia, recently joined Jharkhand Vikas Morcha (JVM) just before the Assembly elections. He got elected from the seat during 2012 Hatia by-polls defeating the JVM candidate Ajay Nath Shahdeo, who joined the BJP ahead of the Assembly polls.
“People definitely want development in the State but at the same time they also want stable leaders along with the stable government to whom it could be approached in the hour of need,” said Jaiswal. If Prime Minister Modi was good, Naveen Jaiswal was also an efficient leader for the people of his constituency, he added.
Jaiswal further added that his voters believed that Modi was seeking vote for development while he was seeking vote after bringing development in his constituency. “Moreover, people trusted me after looking at my work during the last two and half years,” he said.
Referring to the priorities for his constituency Jaiswal said, “In the next five years, my endeavor will be to make it clean making available all the civil amenities to each and every street and village, essential to lead a dignified life for the people of my constituency. “Even after 14 years of the formation of this state, Hatia does not give an impression of being a part of a capital city,” he said.
The JVM MlA further added that during the last two and a half years in the Assembly, he tried to remain among the people of his constituency and did what could not be done in the last 25 years. “Even though I got detached with AJSU party, I never let myself disconnected myself with the people of my constituency,” said the MlA. I ensured that I remain connected with each and every ward or panchayat of my constituency throughout the year,” he said.
Thanking his voters, Jaiswal said that the trust of his people never got diluted even after he was forced to shift from AJSU to the JVM. “I enjoy blind support of my people who trusted me even during the lean hours, helping me out in taking some of the toughest decisions in my life,” he said.
Jaiswal further said, “Party cadres definitely are important in winning elections, but fortunately the whole cadre got along with me when I was seeking their opinion. Besides, I also got support from the JMM workers bringing in a smooth victory for me, he added.
