Facing speedy trial in fodder scam cases, former Bihar Chief Minister and RJD chief lalu Prasad said that the Centre had all the information about ‘Srijan’ scam after which Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar joined NDA out of pressure in desperation.
Talking to media persons at State Guest House in Ranchi on Thursday, the RJD chief said that Nitish had been informed about the scam in 2013 itself, still he placed a collector of his choice in Bhagalpur and then the money was withdrawn in a systematic way.
Prasad currently is on a three-day visit of Ranchi for his appearance before Special CBI Courts in fodder scam cases.
“New Delhi had all information in this regard, that is why Nitish jumped into Modi’s side for protection,” said Prasad. At least 20 IAS officers will get trapped into it and hence, the matter should be investigated by the CBI, he added.
Referring to a letter written by Sanjeet Kumar to the RBI Governor and the Union Finance Minister, the RJD chief said that information had also been passed to the Centre to get the matter investigated.
“It has been written in the letter that the government money was being deposited in accounts of private parties and requested the Finance Minister and Governor of RBI to get the matter investigated that with whose permission it was being done,” said Prasad. Deputy Chief Minister Sushil Modi must be sent to jail as he was the finance minister at that time, he added.
“Both PM Narendra Modi and his ‘stepni’ Nitish Kumar talk about zero tolerance but their own men are involved in corruption,” said the RJD chief. Nitish has been fooling people.
