A meeting was held in the conference room of the Director-in-Charge of BSL with senior railway officials and high officials of Bokaro Steel Plant. DIC Amarendu Prakash, ED (Works ) Sanjay Kumar, CGM Inc (Mines) J Das Gupta, Principal Chief Operations Manager (PCOM) of South Eastern Railway P. Dansana, CTE South Eastern Railway Shailesh Verma, CTPM South East Railway S. Rahman, Senior DOM South Eastern Railway Avnish Kumar, Regional Manager South Eastern Railway Arvind Pradeep, CGM (CRM-3) Rajan Prasad, CGM (RMHP) D Kumar, CGM (PPC) Anil Kumar, CGM (Coke Oven) Rakesh, CGM (Traffic) AK Jha along with other senior officers were present.
During the meeting, various issues of mutual coordination between SAIL and Railways were discussed in detail. Railways assured for regular rake supply for transportation of raw material and dispatch of finished product and suggested improvements in logistics related structures at Bokaro Steel Plant which would also improve the efficiency of the plant. DIC Prakash told the importance of better coordination and improvement in performance through mutual coordination. Praising the mutual cooperation between SAIL and Railways, Sanjay Kumar welcomed all the suggestions given by the Railways. In the meeting, the Assistant General Manager (Traffic) Sandeep Kumar gave information about various issues related to railways through a presentation.
PCOM of South Eastern Railway, P. Dansana and all the senior railway officials also visited various yards of BSL, Railway Interface Points, Tippler Area and CRM-3.
