Senior Jharkhand Pradesh Congress Committee (JPCC) Leaders, on Monday, once again attacked the JPCC president and demanded tribal leadership to save the party in the State.
Addressing a press meet the State Congress Senior Leader, Alok Kumar Dubey said that the Congress party and its ideology run in his veins. “If the only option is to remove 32 years of dedication for the party, then this hobby should also be fulfilled by the State president of another party. People from different parties are today humiliating and targeting the loyal workers of the party and especially it has become clear that JPCC Chief is taking revenge for his personal enmity from us three or four loyal workers. The organization is not a platform to vent personal enmity. No one can get the Congress out of our hearts and minds,” he added.
Dubey said that between the nomination of district presidents on December 4, 2022 and the nomination of State office bearers on December 13, 2022, many leaders burnt effigies of the National president and State In-Charge, raised slogans, demonstrated, such leaders were given important posts by the State president. “If the State president was dissatisfied with our answer or was unable to give time, he could have called us and taken our views and apprised the disciplinary committee, but by not doing so, deliberately hurting our personal prestige and honour through the media,” he added.
Congress Leader, Lal Kishore Nath Shahdeo said that the issues we are raising to meet the challenges of 2024 and we are claiming that the JPCC Chief has relations with BJP leader RPN Singh and it is our demand from the Congress high command that get the ground reality, everything will be cleared. He said that for the better future of the party, we want a tribal leader to be made the state Congress leader in Jharkhand. “Jharkhand is the only State in the whole Country where we give leadership in the hands of the tribals and we got to see its pleasant results, in the 2019 assembly elections, a public government was formed with huge votes,” he added.
On the occasion Congress Leader, Rajesh Gupta said that we are proud that today a great personality like Mallikarjun Kharge is our national president, while KC Venugopal and Avinash Pandey are our leaders, where injustice cannot happen to any worker and this is the voice today. The voice of Congress people is coming out from every corner of Jharkhand, by showing fear of discipline, they can suppress their voice, they can cheat by giving allurement, but Congress workers always stand by the basic mantra of their leader Rahul Gandhi where we have been taught don't be afraid, he added.
He said that one hundred dedicated party leaders and workers from 24 districts of Jharkhand will go to Delhi in the third week of January to convey their feelings to the Congress high command.
State Congress Secretary, Sadhu Sharan Gope said that Rajesh Thakur does not have the ability to run the state organization. “He would have given 28 per cent seats to STs, 27 per cent seats to OBCs and 12 per cent seats to SCs. The Yadav caste does not disappear from the state committee. Thakur has insulted the core vote of Congress, we have told that to the high command,” he added.
