Surgery of Chaibasa based 17-year-old college girl Sunita Gope suffering from Splenomegaly was successfully done at RIMS after former Home Secretary and BJP leader JB Tubid took the initiative of her treatment.
Since the operation of the disease was expensive, mother of the girl working as a Hotel Cook was unable to bear the high treatment amount.
On May 25, Tubid admitted the girl in the Surgery Unit of RIMS under the observation of Dr Saketan Bhagat.
On June 8, a team of five doctors headed by Dr Bhagat operated the girl successfully. She will soon be discharged and will be in a position to resume her studies. One among 1000 children is detected with Splenomegaly.
