Chief Minister Raghubar Das on Tuesday announced to set up a special counter in every district public relations office across the State in order to facilitate common men lodge their complaints at Jansamvaad kendra.

“The complaints will be uploaded immediately on the same day on its Toll Free Number 181,” he added.

The Chief Minister while taking up the complaints from the people during ‘Seedhi Baat’ programme at Suchna Bhawan also directed the SPs to ensure that DSPs visit police stations in their respective areas on regular basis.

“The State police headquarters will issue directions to all the SPs directing them to ask DSPs to visit police stations in their respective areas regularly on routine basis so that a pressure is built up on them and disposal of pending case gets expedited,” said the Chief Minister.

During the programme, the Junior Engineer in Electricity Department Jainandan Kumar alleged that he was being tortured by senior officials of his department for lodging FIRs against 54 policemen for electricity theft on May 28, 2015 in Gonda and Kotwali police stations of Ranchi and was transferred several times from Ranchi to lohardaga to Gumla to Ratu and again to Gumla since then.

The Chief Minister asked him to remain in Gumla assuring him that no one will disturb him anymore.

“Those who are doing good work must be rewarded. Anybody found indulging in electricity theft must be arrested whether it be policeman or anybody else. Rule of law must prevail in this state as the law is for everyone without any discrimination with anybody,” said Das.

The Chief Minister also declared ex-gratia of `1 lakh to laxman Gupta of Bokaro who was suffering from kidney failure. His daughter Puja Kumari had come with a complaint against her in-laws for torturing her for dowry and had also thrown her out of their house.

“Since the matter is sub-judice, we cannot interfere in it, but we can provide legal assistance in this case if you want. Meanwhile, a sum of `1 lakh is being given for your father’s treatment,” said the CM.

Congratulating the officials both at the State and the district level on completion of two years of ‘Jansamvaad’ in Jharkhand, the Chief Minister said that there must be a target of achieving 95 per cent compliance to the complaints reaching to it during the next year.

“The tempo must be maintained and we should make an effort to resolve 95 per cent of the complaints made by the people,” the CM said. Jansamvaad also helps the Government in getting feedback from the ground which further helps it in removing the loopholes, he added.

Earlier, Principal Secretary to CM Sanjay Kumar said that as many as 1,27,299 complaints were taken up in ‘Jansamvaad’ out of which 75.06 per cent of the cases were settled satisfactorily in the last one year. “The percentage of settlement has been increasing every year and we might cross the mark of 90 per cent during the next year,” said Kumar.

Secretary to CM Sunil Kumar Barnwal also added that they have now been able to categorise the complaints reaching to ‘Jansamvaad Kendra’ following which co-ordination with different departments has increased remarkably.
