Special drive to verify voter list in Bokaro district will begin on October 23 and concluded on 13 November as the Election Commission had asked the local administration to remove all errors from the voter list.
Rai Mahimapat Ray, Deputy Commissioner Bokaro said, verification, identification of errors and suitable upgradation of voter list will take place from October 23 to 13 November. “We will sort out all objections by 3 December and release the final list on 16 January 2017”, he added.
Any individuals who obtained their age 18 can add their name to the voter list by visiting the EC website; they can also contact with BlOs of their areas. This can be done from 14 October to 13 November, he said.
A person cannot be enrolled as a voter in more than one place; it is illegal and punishable, said an official.
