On the 78th Independence Day, Deputy Commissioner Vijaya Jadhav spearheaded a special initiative by the district administration. At the Human Service Ashram in Sector 05 of B.S. City, children received school bags and study materials.
Simultaneously, essential supplies were distributed to the elderly residents of the Chandan Kiyari Old Age Home. Both groups were served a variety of delicious dishes as part of the celebrations.
The Manav sheva Ashram, Transmission Home, and Chandan Kiyari Old Age Home were beautifully decorated with a patriotic theme for the occasion.
Under the Deputy Commissioner's guidance, school supplies were handed out by Senior District Officers Vandana Shejwalkar, Assistant Director of Social Security Piyush, and District Child Protection Officer Anita Jha. The event also saw participation from the Social Welfare Department, Child Protection Unit, and other staff members.
