lady Sri BK Singh College was inaugurated by the Speaker of Jharkhand Assembly, VC of Ranchi University Dr Ramesh Kumar Pandey and the chairman of the college Praveen Kumar Singh jointly here on Monday.
“In the field of women’s education this college would prove a milestone. This is a great movement to open women’s college in this area. All the essential aids would be provided to encourage it,” Oraon said. He also threw light on the importance of education, problems of scarcity of teachers and many other points. He also requested to open a boy’s college for quality education.
Vice chancellor of the Ranchi University Dr Ramesh Kumar Pandey said, “It the matter of appreciation that Praveen Singh has showed his brevity to open this women’s college in this ignored and the backward area. I wish him great success. Ranchi University would provide all possible helps to this college. Singh also discussed the problems of the lack of professors in Ranchi University, construction work of fencing at lohardaga BS College. The chairman of the college Praveen Singh focused on the goals of the opening the college and said, “The women faces many problems while going outside their hometowns. We opened it to promote women education and provide quality education as well.”
Om Prakash Singh the vice president of college management committee said, “We hope for cooperation to run the college well. The campaign Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao has been running in the country. We have taken this step to meet this goal.”
The token of thanks was offered by Dr Rekha Gupta. The plantation of saplings was also done by the guests at the end of the programme. On this occasion Sita Ram Sharma, Prof Shashi Gupta, Prof lohra Oraon, Chandrashekhar Agarwal, Madan Pandey, Braj Bihari Prasad, Afsar Quraishi, St Helen, Abhay Singh, Ashok Poddar, reputed persons and students are present.
