SP Palamu holds feast for top 40 JAC board students

SP, Palamu, Chandan Kumar Sinha and his wife Kanchan Singh on Monday played the role of “friend and guardian” to 40 best pass students of JAC matriculation examination.

The couple had cakes, gifts, feast and gifts for the forty students. There was joy writ large on the faces of the students.

There was no ' fear of khakhi around as the children looked comfortable with lots of police men there on duty.' Cops were courteous, a rare thing today.

It was lady Kanchan Singh who outshone her SP husband Chandon Kr Sinha. There came an occasion when girl students who were introducing themselves had their voices almost choked on which the man in uniform Sinha asked in 'police tone to speak loud and clear.'

The girls knew there would not be any more other chance. They then put their lungs to greater use.

On how these forty were selected to which Sinha said it was a terrific exercise.

There was no tabulation register of the students nor the district education officer here had any clue about the best performers in the block based government schools.

Sinha said the district education officer procured the results from the JAC and then the local police tracked and traced the best two one a girl in its block based government schools.

There were boys and girls from the primitive vulnerable tribal groups and scheduled castes too.

A Korwa girl said she had never dreamt of this kind of acknowledgement by the chief of police.

Local residents here have hailed the ceremony held by SP for the best two one a girl in the respective blocks here in Palamu.
