DC Manish Ranjan has approved the proposal for installation of solar charging stations in 56 severely Naxal-hit villages. He has directed to all the BDOs to identify the type of villages where there is no electricity till date and due to difficult geographical makeup it is hard to electrify the area.
Ranjan informed that the Government is encouraging this type of alternative source of energy and under this scheme 90 per cent amount will be given by the Government.
Only 10 per cent amount will be paid by the person who will be selected to run these stations. He said that for the better implementation of this scheme DDC Dibar Joko has been directed to appoint a district nodal officer whose name and telephone number will go to JREDA.
He also informed that under this scheme 50 solar lanterns will be given to every village.
These lanterns will be charged at the
station and the villagers who will use these lanterns will have to pay a
minimum amount to the station in-Charge or the person who pays 10% money for it.
