Buoyed on being a name among the BJP’s future central leaders, CM Raghubar Das on Monday said that small steps having taken towards villages have started showing a big picture of positive change.
Calling newly formulated Panchayat Secretariats a game changer in the development of those areas, he said in a programme called Jharkhand Vikas Samvad that his government was taking a multi-dimensional approach for all-round growth of the State.
Without naming any party in particular, the CM also came down heavily on the Opposition, saying that those who kept on spreading negativity right since formation of the government were becoming irrelevant now. He said that negative way of thinking and negative politics had already dampened much to the development in last 15 years, but the time has changed.
“Those spreading negativity must understand that this way of thinking might fetch some name and fame for a short term. But it is only the positive thinking, approach and politics that can lead one to accomplishment and attainment. This is what is happening for the last two years. I want to call upon all to leave petty politics aside and join hands for the development of the State which will ultimately lead to development of every single individual as well,” he said in programme organised by one of the oldest news agencies, Hindusthan Samachar.
Union Minister of State for Agriculture Sudarshan Bhagat and Minister of State for Parliamentary Affairs Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi, Convenor of Hindusthan Samachar and Rajya Sabha MP RK Sinha, RSS Pracharak and Social Activist KN Govindacharya, CCl CMD Gopal Singh, Principal Secretary to CM Sanjay Kumar, veteran journalists Ram Bahadur Roy and Balbir Dutt, Food Supply and Consumer Affairs Minister of Jharkhand Saryu Roy and many other dignitaries were present in the programme.
The CM counted a number of steps that were taken to empower rural Jharkhand, including a three-year medical Diploma Course to BSc Graduates in villages, so that they could become a substitute to doctors in need. He also said that he would start making visits to Sub-divisional headquarters from September so that Panchayat Secretariats could come into function and plans directed towards villages could start delivering on grounds.
The CM said that Jharkhand would be an Open Defection Free (ODF) State as early as 2018, a year ahead of what has been fixed by the central government. He said that investment from every nook and corner would be seen in near future in most of the sectors, including healthcare, education, services, IT and others.
While Sanjay Kumar focused on development seen in different sectors in Jharkhand in last two years and key areas of focus for government ahead, Bhagat pointed towards sectors in which government needed to do more than rest of others. He suggested to provide better market-place and restoration facilities for farmers so that they get better price for their produce.
