The UPA-II Government has actually ruined the country both on economic and administrative fronts and the government which will come in power in 2014 will have to face the hardship. It was stated by former Union Minister Yashwant Sinha in Hazaribagh on Thursday.

On the candidature of Narendra Modi for the post of PM Sinha expressed confidence that in 2014 Narendra Modi will surely be the Prime Minister of India. Talking about the economy of the country Sinha said that in ’91, when due to financial crunch we were forced to lend gold, the rate of inflation was about per cent and today it has crossed 5per cent  mark. The price index has gone up to 9.68per cent .

“It is an alarming situation which has come up due to the wrong policies and corruption. On administrative front too misuse of institutions like CBI, IT, ED etc. has become a common practice of UPA-II Government and due to this these institutions have lost public faith. Reacting on a media report that he has not asked questions of public interest in the parliament in the last six months Sinha said that besides asking questions an MP has many works to do.

He is Chairman of Finance Committee which has met 82 times and has submitted more than 50 reports to the government; JPC on 2G has met 56 times so far and recently he had been included in a committee which looks into the matters of violation of protocol which has met 7 times. When asked about his statements which seem to be against party interest he clearly said, “I am a true worker of BJP who abides by the decisions of the party and has never said anything against the party.”
