On Teacher’s day MP and MoS Jayant Sinha and Health Minister of Jharkhand Ramchandra Chandravanshi unveiled the model of the proposed medical college-cum- hospital prepared by Professor RK Malhotra of Harvard University at a programme organised in the town hall of Hazaribagh.
Addressing the gathering Sinha said that it was his pledge and election promise also to give people a world class medical college cum hospital having world class facilities here at Hazaribagh and now the dream is going to become true. Next month CM Raghuvar Das is arriving here to lay the foundation stone of this hospital cum college which will be completed within two years.
“I was trying my best since you chose me yours representative in the parliament to fulfill this election promise and thankful to both the State Government and district administration which not only identified the 25 acres land for it but also agreed to spend 40 per cent amount of it cost. The professor of Howard University has made this model on my request which will not only help in curing you physically but mentally also,” he added.
Health Minister Ramchandra Chandravanshi praised the efforts of Jayant Sinha and said that this hospital cum college will really be one of the best as per his dreams. When asked about the availability of doctors he said that soon the State Government is going to appoint 2,000 doctors and 10,000 staffs for the hospitals and medical colleges of the State. Jayant added that he will specially arrange doctors for Hazaribagh medical college cum hospital.
Health Minister Ramchandra Chandravanshi also informed that the Government is planning to train science graduates who will work in the rural areas as medical practitioners. I have also given permission to start B–Pharma and D-Pharma courses here and invited the entrepreneurs to open medical colleges in the State, the Government will give a grant of Rs30 crore and other facilities to them, he added.
MlA Manish Jaiswal said that a good medical college cum hospital was a demand of the denizens since long and now it is going to be fulfilled. Calling it another milestone in the development of Hazaribagh he praised the efforts of Jayant Sinha and thanked the State Government for taking necessary decisions rapidly.
On this occasion both Ministers of Center and State and MlA felicitated the chosen teachers and students of Hazaribagh and gave their good wishes to everyone for teacher’s day and Ganesh Chaturthi. The students of local schools presented a brief and attractive cultural program on this occasion.
