Union Minister of State for Agriculture and Food Processing Sudarshan Bhagat today said that the single window system has been launched in the field of agriculture also which has proved to be quite fruitful for investors. Bhagat was speaking during a seminar on ‘Agro and Food Processing: Investment Opportunities in Jharkhand’ during the two day Global Investor’s Summit organized here in Ranchi on Friday.
“Jharkhand is changing and inclination of investors towards Jharkhand has increased and assured investors that the state will soon be known for food processing in the Country,” Bhagat said. He said that that State Government has been doing well in the field which also has full support of the Central Government as well, he said.
“This is a historical occasion where the State Government through Momentum Jharkhand, is inviting the companies both from inside and outside the Country to invest here. It is important that the state also develops in the field of agriculture,” said Bhagat.
The Union Minister further added that it was the dream of Prime Minister Narendra Modi to double the income of farmers by the year 2022 which will require changes to be brought by everyone in this field. He said that due to changes in the lifestyles of the people, demand of packaged food has increased and hence this government wants to promote food processing in the State.
State Agriculture Minister Randheer Singh on the other hand, assured that the Government, which is ready for investments was keen to provide all support to them.
