National general secretary of BJP Arun Kumar Singh, while giving kudos to chief minister Raghubar Das flayed Minister Saryu Roy terming him a “habitual dissenter” here on Thursday. Holding a press conference Singh said, “CM Das is doing good and he has established a direct samwad ( dialogue) with the masses.” In the same vein Singh coming heavily upon Saryu Roy said, “He is a senior BJP leader but also a habitual dissenter who dissents and makes his dissent public thus putting the morale of the party cadres fragile.”
“If he (Saryu Roy) has grievances and grudges then he should have raised it in the party forum and not in public,” he said blaming Roy for his own discomfort in the present dispensation of Raghubar Das than Das doing anything against Roy.
However, the national general secretary refrained from condemning the statement of Saryu Rai and continued to reiterate that Roy ought to have exercised restraint when taking pot shots at the government.
Singh held his press conference before leaving for Varansi by road on Thursday . BJP sources said he was here to oversee the highly critical health condition of India’s home minister Rajnath Singh’s mother in law in Daltonganj.
On being asked as to why Yashwant Sinha is so critical of this BJP government Singh dismissed him as saying, “Sinha is a retired man and he should not be given any attention now. Sinha’s son is in the union cabinet. What more can be done to him IJ”
Singh tore apart the Congress for corruption in the country but had to strain when asked as to how Nirav Modi who robbed PNB of Rs 11,400 crore of rupees fled from the country to which he said, “This Modi had with him the Belgium passport.”
Reminded that this PNB fraud had come to light in 2013 while it had started way back in 2011 when UPA 2 was at the centre and BJP’s own veteran leader Subramaniam Swamy had gone on record saying that this scam ought to have been exposed and probed earlier the national general secretary disowning Swamy said, “He is not our man. It is his personal views.”
