Secretary to CM Sunil Kumar Barnwal today ordered to issue show cause notices against Deputy Commissioner, Deputy Development Commissioner and Nodal Officer of Chatra district for an alleged delay in construction of a Panchayat Building. During weekly review of CM Jan Samvad, Barnwal directed to issue show cause against the officials for delaying report on the matter, in which the Panchayat building at Bagchumma was not completed in seven years and officials were not aware of the status of the construction.
The secretary started the meeting with a complaint from Chakulia Block of East Singhbhum District, where one Shankar Ravidas had complained that his land was acquired for construction of Chandil dam in 2012 but he did not get displaced card till now and he is not getting compensation. Barnwal asked to send his case to Water Resources Department and question why so much delay was taking placeIJ
On the matter of delay in compensation to Subodh Oraon of Raidih in Gumla district, who was killed by Maoists, Barnwal sought explanation fromNodal Officer from Gumla as to why it took five years to even demand compensation fund from the government. He also sought explanation from Nodal Officer of the Home Department as to why funds were delayed to the victim’s kin.
Mahendra Hansda of Deoghar had complained that the transformer beside his house was stolen three years ago. The district administration informed that the electricity department has said that the transformer has been changed. Barnwal asked the official to make physical verification of the transformer.
Several other complaints, including delay in pension, law and order, land dispute, water supply etc were also reviewed by the Secretary and orders were passed to resolve them as soon as possible.
